It is with great sorrow, the Union Dale Fire Company has to announce the passing of our last charter
member Steven Durko.
The UDVFC Officers are asking for final tones with the below call out. Around
11am. We will request it over the air when we get to the grave site.

Our Friend, Brother, Father, Grandfather, a founding father to the Union Dale Vol. Fire Co.,
and Boro Mayor. You have received your last call to go serve and protect the Lord. You were a
great inspiration in many eyes, we have all learned and taken lessons and advise to heart. We cherish
our memories and celebrate your life with honor. We wish you well on your journey until we meet again
Brother!

Congratulations!
Six members of the UDVFC have completed the Water Rescue Technician Level.

Congrats to Karen Cook for obtaining her water rescue tech
in February 2011 making a total of 6 water rescue techs on staff.

Congratulations to Dave, Michelle, Kyle, Andy and Don! They have taken all the water rescue
classes required to obtain this level. The classes consisted of:
water rescue awarness, 3hrs
water rescue emergency response, 16hrs
water rescue advanced line systems, 16hrs
water rescue emergency boat operations and rescue, 16hrs
water rescue ice safety and rescue operations, 16hrs
The Union Dale Volunteer Fire Company is proud of these members
and currently has 13 members working on the water rescue certifications and training.
